An Introduction to the
Innkeepers
We have had the unique experience
of hosting guests literally from around the world; Australia,
Guatemala.
England, Japan, Korea,
Mexico, Singapore, South
Africa, Peru,
and the Peoples
Republic of China. We have had many returning guests as
well as those who have never stayed at a B & B and wondered "why
didn't we do this before?"

on Schwarz had their first Bed & Breakfast experience in 1991, while
visiting friends in England.
Kathy was bit by the innkeeper bug and never got a cure. They attended two
Aspiring Innkeepers seminars to make sure this was for them and the rest is
history. During a 1998 visit to Kathy's parents in Stevens Point, they came upon the 1922
house on the corner of Main & Fremont. Kathy & Ron spent the
next 2 years traveling on weekends from the Chicago area to come work on the house.
Replacing all the electric, plumbing, roofing, and installing air
conditioning took quite a bit of effort. Having 3 sons, as plumbers was a
plus. Ron retired from Lucent Technologies in May 2000, after 31 years of
service. Kathy left her job as an administrative assistant that same year.
They made the big move that July. It took them another year before they
opened August 2001.
